Consumer Protection Notice (CPA)
This notice explains your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (CPA) when you buy advertising or subscription services from Rent Direct Hub, and the limits of those rights.

1. What you are buying from us
The only services Rent Direct Hub supplies to you are technology services: a listing and advertising platform, landlord account tools and, where applicable, a business advertising subscription. We do not let, sell, manage or inspect property, and we are not a party to any lease.
2. Plain language and fair terms
- Our terms are written in plain language so an ordinary person can understand them without undue effort.
- Prices are shown in South African Rand, inclusive of any applicable amounts, before you confirm an order.
- We do not use terms that unfairly limit your rights under the CPA. Where the CPA gives you a right that our terms appear to restrict, the CPA applies.
3. Cooling-off for electronic transactions
Where you order a service from us electronically and section 44 of the ECT Act applies, you may cancel within 7 days of the transaction. Once we have begun performing the service with your agreement — for example once your advert is live — the cooling-off right no longer applies to the part already supplied.
4. Cancellation of ongoing subscriptions
- You may cancel a monthly subscription at any time from your account. Access continues until the end of the month you have already paid for.
- We do not automatically charge you for a period you have cancelled.
- Advertising already displayed for a period that has run is not refundable.
5. Quality of service and limits
- We take reasonable steps to keep the platform available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
- We do not guarantee that a listing or business advert will produce enquiries, tenants or work.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of content supplied by landlords, tenants or service providers, or the quality of any work they perform.

7. Complaints and redress
Raise any consumer complaint with us first — see the Complaints page. If it is not resolved, you may approach the National Consumer Commission or the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud. Nothing in our documents limits your right to do so.
