About us

Built for the self-managed property landlord

We started in East London because we know it well — and we built the platform so it works just as well in any South African city.

Thousands of South African landlords run their own rentals. They screen their own tenants, arrange their own plumbers and answer their own WhatsApps — and then still pay a full month's commission to advertise a property.

Rent Direct Hub is starting to remove those layers. Tenants see the landlord's real contact details on every listing, and landlords get the practical tools that agencies normally keep behind a mandate: listing management, enquiry tracking, transparent verification and a local trades directory. There is much more in the pipeline coming, making self-managed properties a breeze.

We are deliberately transparent about verification. Instead of a single blanket "trusted" badge, each landlord shows exactly which checks have been completed — identity, mobile, email, property ownership and mandate authority — so tenants can judge for themselves.

East London is the launch market. The architecture, regions and categories are national from day one.
